Parish Nurse Ministry
The mission of Holy Family Parish Nurse Ministry is to promote and help maintain the physical, emotional and spiritual health of the parish community. We are health promoters dedicated to using our gifts of knowledge, faith and compassion to share the abundant life offered by Jesus.
Free Blood Pressure Screening - first weekend of each month. Nurses will be available to take blood pressures after Masses in Room 4 of the Church Hall.
The Parish Nurse Ministry began on July 1, 2003. It is comprised of licensed nurses and a Health Ministry Team including clergy and parish members of various medical and professional backgrounds.
A parish nurse is an experienced, licensed, professional registered nurse who delivers primary holistic nursing services in a parish. She/he does not give direct hands on care. Rather, the parish nurse works as an advocate, an educator, a health counselor, a referral source and a facilitator. The parish nurse helps parishioners understand the relationship between faith and health.
Questions can be directed to the Parish Nurse Ministry at (330) 688-6412, ext. 462
