Holy Family Youth Ministry

Open to all teens through grade 12, the Youth Ministry program has been updated and offers a variety of activities to accommodate interests as well as busy schedules.

Every Second Sunday of the month there will be a 5pm Mass (SS5) featuring contemporary praise and worship music. The Mass is for all people of the parish but will showcase teens serving in various liturgical ministries including usher, greeter, lector, commentator, music and Eucharistic ministers.

Immediately following SS5, the "red eye" (i), a monthly youth group meeting will be held in the lower church hall and will include pizza. The i was chosen after the red eye coffee drink which is said to be "eye opening" and on the catholic principle of Lex Orandi, Lex Credendi, Lex Vivendi - As we worship, So we believe, So we live. Youth ministry has adopted this philosophy, embracing another cultural "icon" of the day - isay, ibelieve, ilive, ilove.

Holy Grounds Teen Cafe is open in room 3 of the Lower Church Hall after the 9:30 am Mass whenever there is coffee and donuts. The space is open to all teens of the parish to share fellowship, donuts, hot chocolate and coffee drinks.

The DVD Teen Pilgrimage invites to enrich their knowledge and understanding of the Catholic faith by weekly traveling around the world with Fr. Robert Barron from 11am-noon in room 3 of the lower church hall. Scheduled dates for pilgrimages include November 3, 10 and 17; December 8; January 12 and 19; February 9, 16 and 23; March 9, 16 and 30; April 6 and 13. No registration is necessary. Each session is independent.
